Platinum/Palladium printing produces a warm image with an exceptional tonal range. This type of printing has been around since before 1873, when the first patent was granted. Platinum/Palladium prints have supreme archival quality. I first produce a digital negative using transparency film to create a Platinum/Palladium (PT/PD) print by hand coating Bergger Cot-320 (100% Rag Cotton) paper with a PT and/or PD solution. I then expose the negative & paper to ultraviolet light. The prints are developed in potassium oxalate. The black border occurs naturally with this process. For PT/PD images, I use a Nikon D200.

I think Palladium printing of ghost towns are perfect. Photographers have been doing palladium printing for over 100 years when ghost towns were still boom towns.
